The pest is a really short story by Fernardo Sorrentino. Who's supposed to be humorous. It's about a guy's birthday, and he decided to celebrate it by pranking a stranger, so he went to talk with the first person he saw, who was a well dressed 60 years old man with a briefcase in his right hand, who certainly seemed to be a lawyer. So the narrator began by asking him about Plaza De Mayo so the men gently answers his question by pointing at the place, but the birthday guy decided to annoy him by assuming he just asked another man with "an intelligent face" who said a dissimilar avenue. So the man took it as an insult and decided to walk away, but the man still wanting to irritate him re asked him once again but this time for the place of Plaza San Mart'in pretending that was his demand from the begin and then began calling him in an indirect way "idiot" that's when the lawyer got really mad and walked away.
So what do you think of it? i personally think it's not the best story ever written but it's not the worst. Right?
